I agree that more radius at the top is essential but if you look at the photo called "Hex" what is there for roundness on the top looks like it is enough. I have an old cove shaped grind stone that I used when I drilled out some larger BD cabled hexes so that I can use cord. When you are finished with them send me a set and I will test them for you!

I looked on the BD web site.They do not say what they use. Looked up Metolious.They do use 7075 T6 in their cams. My mistake. Learn something every day!
Wow! Plastic nuts! Thanks for posting that. Hard to believe.Never on my rack. When I say marginal placement I am thinking about that last 2 pieces on my rack at the top of a long pitch. Only 1 is anywhere near a fit so you place it as best you can.Better than nothing. Love my BD Hexcentrics Just for the heck of it I will see if I can find any plastic with shear strength comparable to 6061.
