Wasps on Layback (nears)

There were wasps (enough that I think it was a nest) on the top of the first pitch of Layback in the Nears today. They weren't happy to have guests--careful if you head up that way.

Wasps are pretty common on the rock in the Gunks. Were they attacking you or just flying around? [by attacking I mean - did you get bit? because when wasps attack - YOU GET BIT lol]

I ask because I've been on many climbs where they were all around me, mostly on the rock face. Unless you saw them coming in/out of a crack or a hanging nest, it's possible they were just being wasps.

We're talking about the insect, right? ;-)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
