Campsites near Boulder

Hey everyone!

I'm coming to the Boulder area in early August and was hoping to find a campsite for Aug 6 - 10 that is good for climbers.

Ideally it would be close to the climbing crags and a good place to meet partners. Any suggestions?

...or if anyone has a spare couch that they want to make available for cash/beer/future favors send me a PM!

'Fraid you're outta luck on the campground question. The nearest camping is about 25 or more miles away from Boulder and not very near anything.

Betcha somebody will have a couch or a corner for ya, though.

As far as I know there are no actual "campgrounds" in the Boulder area. (Maybe something new opened up in Four Mile Canyon?) However, if you've got a car you can find some nice and free camping on FS land within 10-15 miles of Boulder. Switzerland trail has camping all along it and is passable with most vehicles. Camping at the end of Lost Angel road is also an option I believe. This will put you directly above and within easy walking/rappelling range of some great climbing/hiking in Dream Canyon!
