Mt. Russell 3rd class route in rain?

Looking at the weekend rain forecast, I'm wondering how sketchy the east arete might be if it winds up raining a bit. (20% chance tomorrow in the pm.)
To the climbers that have done it (in the rain or not), what do you think?
Thanks.

I haven't done it, but...I think the real concern would be lightning, not so much wet rock.

the weather forecast actually looks pretty rad for tomorrow. looks like a pretty typical afternoon-thunderstorm coin flip. get an early start, move fast, and you'll be psyched.

Howard,

I've descended the east arête on russel. The Ridge itself is really exposed but fairly short. If you decide to bail it wouldn't take long to get off the ridge proper and onto the scree field, and you can really fly down that scree field. There are some good size boulders near upper boyscout that would provide decent shelter too.

Have fun man, its a great route.

The last time I did that route the day had a similar forecast. Get going early and you'll be fine. The route is exposed, but it's really not that bad. I think the exposure gets overly stated. Even when wet, you'll be fine.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
