Hi John, if you show up and stay at Miguel's, you shouldn't have an issue finding partners to climb with in September.

Hi Raiden
Thank you for your reply. That's cool.Is the situation that many climbers arrive without partners and therefore they hitch up. Have climbed in Europe just turning up and it can be quite tricky finding partners sometimes.
Cheers

Yea just ask around last year I was there for 4th and ended up staying twice as long as I planed because my partner had to leave for family stuff but I found another group and camped / climbed with them the rest of the week.

Just don't be shy and you should find someone.

John, yes, many climbers will show up alone and stay at Miguel's for the purpose of finding partners. If you want to try to ensure a partner before then, you could also try on this website: redriverclimbing.com/viewfo…

Yeah the gorge is a totally different scene than most places. Maybe camp 4 and rifle in the summer compare in terms of the amount of concentration in one place as Miguels in the spring and fall but I don't know many other places like it.

You should post in the Kentucky regional and Kentucky partners forum as well. This will more likely get you partners than the international forum.

Also, redriverclimbing.com/RRCGuide/

I'd be totally down to hang with you if I still lived there. Have fun!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
