Li Ming - Partners for new route development, beta

Going to be based out of Yangsho this fall and looking climb up to a month in Li Ming.

Looking for partners to hook up with for hitting both established routes and exploring new lines. Anyone going to be down there this fall? Not going to be traveling with a ton of gear (also going to be in SE asia for a while), but will most likely be rolling with a double set.

This is going to be my first time to LiMing and I'd appreciate any beta on places to stay or any other useful info as well.

So psyched! Get in touch if you're interested!

It's been five years since I climbed at Li Ming, so things may have changed quite a bit. But when I was there, there was only one lodging option in town, and Doby was putting up most of the routes there. We were all living in Lijiang (Shuhe) at the time. I kind of doubt that he is still there now.

Adam of Climb Dali (who is an American living in Dali) may be more up to date on what's going on in Liming.

Hey Adam... did you work at Outward Bound during the summer of 2013?

Liming is the shit. Get in touch with Michael Dobie, who has written multiple editions of the guidebook and is the main route developer. You can also try Ana Pautler. Ana is a friend of mine; she can hook you up with all kinds of info about anything in China and the region. To get yourself started, check out Climb China which includes Liming's main crags. Also has good beta on Yangshuo and Getu.

Otherwise, I could give you some good info on climbing in Thailand and Malaysia. For questions about Vietnam, I could refer you to a friend, as I haven't heard too much about development there.

If you're interested in route development in Liming, Keketouhai, Sichuan, or China in general, then :shameless plug: check out this facebook page that follows them...

Hi Adam,
I am based in Beijing. Let me know your climbing schedule. Maybe I can find you someone in the Chinese climbing circle who wants to go with you.

Hey Adam, when do you get to Yangshuo? I'll be arriving on the 20th of this month and will stay until late August. I'm also looking for a climbing partner!

Hell yeah Adam - I'm stoked! We'll find some gems out there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
