I'll be in 10 sleep in mid-July and am having a really hard time tracking down a guidebook -- the old version is sold out, and the release date for the new one has been pushed to after my trip.
Does anyone have any advice about where to buy a copy, or perhaps own an old copy they'd be willing to sell or loan out? I'll be in town 7/11-7/18.
On a whim, most of the gas stations and mercantile shops in the area have them for sale, even 50-100 miles out - just keep your eyes open. If not, you'll be hitting it in the peak of the season, so you won't be alone at the crag. I'm sure someone would be willing to let you take a few pics of the pages you'd like. FYI - watch out for the human shit, everywhere. This is one of the trashiest crags I've ever been to - and won't go back.
I know that the guidebook author will be selling them this weekend for the climbing festival....maybe he will drop some at the general store in ten sleep
also, there are new toilets at the top and bottom of the old highway now. Thanks Bighorn Climbers Coalition!!! ....so some of the poo problem may be taken care of
I hit up ten sleep last year without a guidebook since the old one was sold out everywhere, and did not have trouble finding crags, nor climbs. Basically everybody used mp or each other to find climbs. Was kind of a fun team building exercise! You'll have fun no matter what!
