Thanks

Why, the hot springs are it.
It's the road before the ranger station.

If you're heading up to the Hulk there are some quiet, forested spots right off the Twin Lakes road.

Hot spring have signs posted all over that say no overnight camping. Not sure how much they patrol/enforce it, but it was posted the last time I was there.

you can camp anywhere BEFORE the sign (but not right in front of it... that's my spot) . it's BLM land.

Anyone know of places one could park for free for a couple weeks around bridgeport? I don't want to pay Annette's Mono Village some ridiculous rate while I'm out on the SHR.

To be clear, not looking for a bivy spot. I'm looking for parking while I'm backpacking. While they could be the same location, I'd like to differentiate between a bivy site and medium-term parking that isn't costly.

EDIT: will just create a separate thread so that people don't get confused as to what I'm asking about.

Actually a lot of that land off of green creek, esp. farther up the road is owned by California Department of Fish and Wildlife and camping is not permitted on CDFW wildlife areas or ecological reserves.
