Hello everyone,

British guy looking to go to Colorado for a month or two and smash up as much bouldering and sport climbing as possible, I have no concrete plans and am not going for a while (wage slaving).

But I have a general question about Colorado if any of you like-minded folk would be kind enough to help me :D

I can see where the best places to go are, but where are the best places to meet climbing partners? And people in general? Are there an abundance of hostels/backpacker type hotels in and around any particular locations? I'm struggling to find them if there are. I will most likely be alone so will need some chums to sport climb with at least.

Appreciate if you have any advice or other forums to go on to organise this kind of stuff.

Many thanks in advance.

yeah go to rifle. lots of traveling climbers staying there, a small area, tons of routes and generally good fun climbing vibes.

if you are going to be around in the fall (sept-oct-nov) i would say indian creek should be on your list too. it's close enough to colorado to count as a colorado destination and partners are never a problem.

Thanks guys, much appreciated, seems like I will be in Rifle when I am alone and I'll look into Indian Creek, this is Arizona?

Other popular sport at Tensleep Wyoming.

Late September-November for Indian Creek.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
