Western PA anyone? July - September

Hello! I'll be living in Pittsburgh for the next three months and I would love to explore some of the areas (southwest highlands, etc.) while I'm there. I know it's not the ideal time of season, but I think some sport days might be doable?

I've got a rope and car (and food?!) to offer for any trips.

I'll mostly be free on weekends and would love to get in touch with anyone who knows the area, needs a partner, etc.

Cheers!

If you are don't mind and or are interested in bouldering I typically boulder on weekends at Beam Rocks as it is not to far for me with easy approach which fits the bill as I am short on free time these days. If you have enough gear to set up TR there are a handful of routes there as well.

It is around 60 miles or so East of Pittsburgh, so 1hr 20 minutes give or take if you are down town.

Finding places to climb in SWPA is easy, it's getting in touch with other climbers to climb with that is the difficult part.

Breakneck is prolly the best place close by to clip bolts, with little approach and good variety. May get crowded, but on the plus side you'll meet a lot of folks there. PM me your info if you want to meet up with us some time.

if you check out the Explorer's Club of Pittsburgh, you'll have no problems finding partners.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. I'll send out some PMs and definitely look into the Explorer's Club!
