Hey, I'm Fran from NZ; currently in Rio right now, and in Brazil indefinitely and looking for climbing partners!
I have my harness, shoes, quickdraws, but no rope, happy leading up to 7a at the mo, really excited about all the multipitch stuff around here, please hit me up if you're motivated!

We met some Rio climbers by emailing the local climbing clubs. They seem to be interested in meeting foreign climbers. Did a few routes on the Sugarloaf with one of them and also took a trip to Salinas. The Das Aguas Refugio in Salinas had a bunch of climbers hanging out and is reachable by bus. Really friendly people. We also met people to climb with while bouldering in Urca. By the way, guidebooks were available at the newsstand in Urca. Also, climbers congregate at the end of the day at the Laguna Pizza place right across from the newsstand in Urca. Good luck and enjoy. It's an amazing place to climb.

Hello Fran...how's the climbing been treating you in Rio? I will be looking for partners in Late September for a couple weeks. LMK if you would be around the area...thx.

Hello Fran, I'll be in Rio from March 14-March 19 if you want to climb. I'm flying in for a wedding and wasn't planning on bringing a rope--do you have one yet? Please let me know if you want to link up! Thanks!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
