Anybody know the name of/ever climbed at the wall just upstream of Seidel's Suckhole on the Arkansas River? I've seen people climbing it and can see bolts from the river, but I haven't been able to find anything about it.

West side of the river? Rusty Nail I'm guessing. Has a handful of OK routes, good bouldering on the west side too.

I forget exactly where that rapid is, but maybe you're talking about Rainbow Rock? It's on the west side of the river very visible from the water. There's definitely some fun routes and bouldering on that.

Rafters call it Rainbow Rock, climbers call it Rusty Nail.

Rainbow Rock is upstream of Browns Canyon by about 4 miles. This is about a mile downstream of the usual Browns Canyon takeout Hecla Junction. It is on the west side of the river though.

I believe Rainbow rock changed ownership about 3 years ago and is now off limits. Too bad, because while the routes were nothing to write home about, the boldering was good there like Glen said.

Jeremy, did you ever end up climbing down there by Seidel's? I've seen people climbing there too.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
