Going to be spending most of a week climbing in Squamish and was looking for something with a more alpine feel. There are some long supposedly "alpine" routes on The Old Settler/Yak Peak in the Fraser Valley Area. Anyone have any first hand experiences out there? Or any recommendations for "alpine" climbs within a 2hr drive of Squamish? By alpine I'm just looking for longer multipitch trad with a little more remote feeling than you get on The Chief, we were thinking of heading out to Fraser to avoid the weekend crowds.

Thanks!

Are you referring to yak peak off the coquihalla? I believe you can find more information in the book, Central B.C. Rock. The book contains some other areas of potential interest, such as marble Canyon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
