What happened for the deals section? There isn't a link to it on the top of the page anymore.

It wasn't working that well and we're retiring it. For a while longer, you can find it here:

Bummer. I really liked the deals section. Sometimes you found some smaller places that you normally wouldn't with better deals than the big guys.

Yeah, ever since google switched a few years back, to paying for advertising in their shopping tag, it's definitely harder to find the lower prices.

I just have to remember a handful of store names, and manually hit them all when looking for something on sale.

That's a huge bummer, it seemed to work fine to me. Why not fix whatever's wrong instead of getting rid of it? As mentioned Google isn't good for this and Deals is the only useful tool.

You realize they sold this website to REI?

Think about it...this is now an REI business. Is REI going to provide advertising for the little guys?

Please bring it back! Not all of us can afford MSRP on our gear.

How about a thread where we can list some retailers that have good deals, that don't show up on google?

I also found the deals section a plus please bring it back .how dose an advertisement not work ?are you not charaging advertising fee I would figure that would be a large part of your revenue.

I really liked the Dirtbag Deals. One of the reasons I frequented MP. I don't buy that it wasn't working. Could be a coincidence, but it disappeared shortly after REI took over.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
