Boulder canyon with kids

Hi I just moved to Longmont! I'm trying to get familiar with Boulder Canyon and other climbing areas. My 3yo is really wanting to get out and climb. I'm not sure where to take her for some obvious, easy, top rope/scramble type stuff as it's not really something 'climbers' post or shoot to get an FA. Thank you for you help!

Castle Rock at the Nederland end of the canyon. For all the accessibility, BoCan has a lot of dangerous approaches and starting areas for kids.

There is some fun, easy stuff on Quartzite Ridge in Eldorado Canyon as well. Very short and easy approach, easy to TR, and relatively traffic free.

Not familiar with Boulder Canyon but there are some super chill easy routes atop "The Pyramid" at the base of Supremacy Rock in Eldo by the parking area just east of the visitor center. Some bolts on the top and easy to scramble to the top up the routes themselves or from climbers right. Took a friends 4 year old there so she could say the first place she ever climbed outdoors was Eldo. There are also some similar type climbs in CCC in the east colfax area just west of tunnel 6.

Castle Rock would be really difficult to set up TRs. It does have the great blessing of being well away from the road, and flat enough to allow easy supervision of the half-pints.

Think about the Riviera: way up off the road, some scrambling terrain that's friendly to very small folks. Pretty serious grunt of an approach for one this small, but you do have a kid carrier, right? :)

The nameless cliff near the parking are for the Elephant Buttresses and the Dome is another possibility. There is lots of traffic there, but it'd be super-scramble-able for her, and there is no approach whatsoever.

The Boulderado has the perfect terrain for her to climb, but a hideously scary ledge that would demand constant supervision. A fall from there would deposit her on the highway. Bad idea.

Welcome to the area - lots of other folks will have lots of other ideas!

Nip and Tuck crag has some very easy to set up top ropes, is a little bit off the road and has a relatively flat base area and a 1 minute approach.

Boulder Canyon is not very kid friendly. Maybe the Watermark once the creek is low enough to wade.

Supremacy Rock, mentioned above, in Eldo is excellent kid territory.

Also consider Crown Rock on Flagstaff.

In Boulder I have had success at Eldo pyramid as mentioned above, additionally I have wanted to try the east face of Whale's tail but have not gotten around to it. Castle Rock, plenty of west face slabs to TR, no approach parking and all other levels of climbers to provide some stoke and little eddies in the river to play. Dino mtn in the flatirons, kid needs to hike 25 minutes and watch out for poison ivy on the approach. Flagstaff sounds like a great suggestion.
