NOAA reports major lightning storms this weekend in the Sierras. I guess my trip is postponed. Meh. Thank you so so much for the beautiful pictures and continued updates Fossana |

Photo out of S Lake from Hurd looking south. You can see the top of the N Buttress on Goode on the left side of the pic. Still lingering snow on northern aspects and and shadier features. Hoping for more stable weather next weekend around Bishop. |

Some pano action looking south toward Mt. Bradley and University Peak from Independence Peak on 6/14. |

The Temple
Here is the Temple as of yesterday. The trail to the glacier is 99% clear of snow. Sill, NorPal, etc. all have a good amount of snow on them still. Hope this helps. |

thanks, Ryan! |

Awesome photo Ryan! It looks about ready to climb. |

Well, no My Favorite Things for awhile I guess. Thank God there was a lighting storm this weekend because I would have been right in the middle of the rockfall. Sheeze |

Approach is not bad. We did Venusian and did the low/chimney start to cross less snow. Worst part was the descent gully after the raps, a lot of run-off causing mini-rock slides in the scree and very loose dirt, with a short, but not difficult section of crossing snow. |

That moraine always sucks. There's sometimes a less crappy use trail that skirts the moraine on far skier's right. |

For those interested in Temple adding that the log crossing below Third Lake is passable. |
