Balanced Rocks at Table Mountain

We were up-top of North Table and observed many balanced rocks, some very near the edge and over routes and the trail. Seems this might exacerbate the already high risk of rockfall at Table.

I hope climbers would never do such a thing, if you see them, remove them.

Edit:
This was an awesome thing for you to post as these routes approached from the ground, would be be unknown to climbers the dangers lurking above.

Thanks for sharing this Bryan. I posted up on JeffCo's Facebook page with a link to your post here on MP. Hopefully they'll put something up addressing this practice. Reaching their broad audience will probably go further in addressing this safety issue, as I'm betting it's not climbers doing this.

Those don't look especially small, either. Yikes. A good windstorm away from a potential injury or death.

I believe someone just doesn't understand the safety issue. A polite explanation is in order.

... and thanks for posting the warning.

Maybe ask jeffco. to post signs at trailhead warning of the objective hazards. To all. Table is getting busy with alot of hikers that just dont know. Maybe the people balancing rocks dont know either.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
