Looking for a safe neighborhood to park and sleep at night

Hi everyone,

My friend and I are in Vegas killing a couple of days while we wait for the sandstone to dry out. We were hoping to find a safe place that's not on the strip to park at night and sleep. We have a nice looking mom car that is a bit inconspicuous, though it does have a crash pad strapped to the top. Any suggestions for neighborhoods, parking lots, side roads, et cetera?

pretty sure walmarts are usually cool about people staying in their lots.

heres an article about how to handle it.

Definitely want to stay away from the north vegas walmarts, west is generally a nicer part of town.

If you go to flagstaff, az you can hang in the Walmart with interesting folk:

I know that at least Henderson has passed a city ordinance banning people from camping out at walmart so don't do it there. Worth checking to see if the city of LV has this as well.

You will have better luck in a casino parking lot I would think.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
