Hi,

I'm looking for a climbing partner, mainly for Seneca, but other destinations are also of interest.

I'm safe and experienced, and I enjoy both trad (especially long wilderness routes) and sport. The main thing I look for in a partner is a great attitude: being able to have fun on quality routes is more important than climbing 5.whatever. Both experienced and newer climbers are welcome.

I can supply ropes and rack or draws. I'm coming from the Pittsburgh area and open to carpooling or meeting at the crag.

Hey Nick,

I moved to D.C. from Seattle a few months ago and I'm looking for climbing partners for Seneca and the New, mainly to do weekend trips. I've been climbing about seven years now in places all over the country and have plenty of gear and ropes. I like to seek out fun crack climbs, but I enjoy sport climbing as well. I'm out of town this weekend, but maybe some time this summer or fall we can make a plan to meet up and climb in West Virginia.

Hey Nick,

I have done some leading at Seneca and a decent amount of seconding. (I have lead <= 5.6 and followed up to 5.8 there) I have my own rack/ropes. I would be coming from Hampton VA so we could meet at the crag and share a site at Seneca Shadows.

Most of my outdoor climbing experience has been with guides and I value a partner who doesn't sacrifice safety for speed when climbing.

I am available most weekends with a few days notice (exception 12-17June)

I spend a week-end a month climbing at the New. Wouldn't mind a climbing partner there. I can lead 5.9 trad. I also aid climb and am always looking for multi-pitch route. Wouldn't mind a visit to Senica. Drop me a line when you wouldn't mind a another climber along.

Hey there all,
Figured I'd add in to the conversation. Recently got my own rack and now have the best excuse to lead at Seneca. I have lead up to 5.6 there but could reasonably push it at least one more grade.

I live in DC and don't have a car, but can sometimes get a lift to Seneca Shadows. I would also love to get a trip to the New going, because I've never been.

Nick, Bill, Jeffry, and all combinations therin; we should make this happen!

I am a beginner and am currently living in Knoxville but I don't mind to drive. I am eager to try new things and would love to meet up. I have only been on lead for a 6, but I can clean. Will bring yummy snacks.

Does anyone want to play Russian roulette with the current 50% chance of T-storms next weekend? (6/7June)

Taylor,

Sorry, but I can't help with a ride from DC, and if you can get a ride to Seneca, presumably the ride would also be a partner.

I'm not available for June 6/7. About the thunderstorms, though, if I were to go I'd stick to routes with a view to the west and bail if one rolls in.

Hey all, I'm a beginning climber living in Harpers Ferry, WV. I learned to climb in the New last summer and have climbed on and off since then, sport (lead 5.7) and bouldering. Would love to meet up at the New or other areas.
