Frequent Neck/Back Injuries

Over my 4 year climbing career I've been getting frequent neck/back injuries. I had similar issues prior to climbing, but not as frequent.

Since June of last year I've had the following injuries:
-mid left back sore/tight the day following climbing (6/1/14)
-pulled mid right back climbing (11/21/14)
-pulled mid left back playing racquetball (4/6/15)
-pulled upper left back getting out of my car (worked out on an elliptical for the first time in a while the night before) (~4/12/15)
-slightly pulled right side of neck while climbing (5/14/15)
-pulled left side of next doing some climbing workouts (5/30/15)

Aside from the obvious suggestions of warm up, and ensure proper form, does any one have any suggestions? Could this be the result of a muscle imbalance? I'm probably going to see what a doctor has to say because walking around like an old man is getting pretty annoying, but I also wanted the thoughts of fellow climbers. Thanks for your help.

No doctor here, but personal experience with back problems and general old age and the crappy feelings that come with this condition...one word.

Yoga!

For me, yoga has so many benefits...core strength, focus, balance, flexibility, strength of mind, sense of calming are just a few that I can mention. But most importantly, it just makes you feel good.

Good luck,
