We will be on a big roadtrip to Devil's Tower, Yellowstone, and the Tetons in June. My wife and usual partner is 6 months pregnant, so am looking for partners. The plan is to be in Devil's Tower from around June 7th-10th and then in the Tetons from around June 16th-20th but the dates are somewhat flexible. I would be very interested in getting on some easier stuff in the Tetons-- I have snow and ice climbing experience in the Himilaya and have done a number of big (5000m +) ascents, but have have been much more focused on rock climbing over the past few years, both trad and sport. I am comfortable leading around 5.9 or 5.10 onsight on gear (as long as it is not too sketchy), but would prefer to follow any harder ice/snow stuff. For the Tower, I would like to get a feel for it first but looks like a lot of fun! I will have a trad rack and one snow axe and crampons and a rope and would love to go up something. Give me a shout here or at jackmarr@gmail.com
I'm in the same boat with a wife/partner pregnant and out of commission. I was looking at DT the same time frame, but diverted after learning about the voluntary June climbing ban. If you are gonna be in the area and want to climb on the 9th or 10th, I'm looking for a partner for Custard State Park. Plenty to climb, not too far from DT! PM me if you're interested.
