I got a job in Bozeman working for the MCC and I'll be in and out of Bozeman all summer. I'm looking for climbing partners near Bozeman or Northern Wyoming. Not sure quite what my schedule is yet. But if there is anyone wanting to show someone around the areas up there that would be awesome! I can climb about 5.9-5.10 and can lead in the 5.7-5.8 trad range. Still working on my guts with that though.

Hey Marty, I'll be doing trail work around the Helena area. I'm not from the area but if you want to do some exploring with me let me know. I do not climb trad right now, however it is something I want to get into. I lead sport in the high 5.10 range. Boulder v3ish.

Hey Jeff,
Helena is pretty close and I would definitely be into some exploring! I get out to Bozeman May 17th and am in the area until August 20th. So I'll be around for a little while. I'm a little out of climbing shape but I'm trying to get out as much as I can before I head north. I'm planning on bringing most of my gear and a crash pad.

Marty that sounds good. I'll be out there towards the end of June till mid August. I'll be heading out on the trail pretty much as soon as I get there though. Jun. 19-27th. Then I wont be going back out till July 17th. Looks like there is tons of climbing in the area getting psyched just thinking about it!

Hey Jeff and Marty!
I'll be cruising thru that way early/mid June. I'm down to hang and climb as well. I've only hit up some spots north of Butte so It'd be rad to explore with you folks. I'll keep you two posted on my whereabouts. I've also got rope and a sport rack.....would luv to get more trad climbs in but I don't have the gear.
Lemme know your schedules.

Hi Marty,

I just moved to Bozeman back in January. I am relatively new to climbing, just started when I moved here. I only have experience bouldering and top rope climbing. I am currently teaching myself how to set anchors and place pro. If you're willing to have a novice along, I'd be happy to join you. I'm a quick learner, generally fit, and capable of climbing 5.9s with ease, most 5.10s and occasionally a 5.11. I plan on taking the lead class at Spire next week.

Hey Marty and everyone,
I'll be doing some conservation corps work near Helena as well. I'm comfortable leading sport up to 5.10 and would like to start leading trad, have been following lots of trad for a while and am semi-confident with my gear placements..
I'm bringing some draws and maybe some old cams, but no rope. I'd love to meet up with some of you and climb sometime though..

I also brought a full rack of doubles. So trad gear isnt an issue.

hey guys,

I just moved to Billings MT for the summer. I have been out here for a week, and really need a climbing partner. I'm in for anything between Billings and Bozeman, as well as Northern Wyoming. I can lead 5.8 or 5.9 crack, but being from Georgia and climbing in North Carolina I'm better face climbs. Can lead about 5.9 to 5.10 slab or face climbs. Would love to get into contact with someone.

Anyone want to do some easy sport climbing on Fri (29th)? I'm in Livingston, and should have quite a bit of time to play outside this summer. As far as June goes I'm available every Thursday and Friday (some Wednesdays). Looking forward to meeting some more partners. Give me a shout.. 406.451.4828 Nick

Hey everyone,

I live in Livingston and I'm down to climb too. I lead sport in the 5.9 range, some 5.10s if I'm lucky. Don't really trad climb, but would like to get into it eventually.

I'm available pretty much any weekend or afternoons/evenings during the week. Livingston is a pretty good spot between Bozeman and Billings, and I know some good routes around the area.
