I'm heading to Oregon in July for a family event. I will be in Mt Hood and in Portland. Since its a family trip I can only take 1 day for a brief climbing trip. I would love some suggestions of where to climb and a possible guide service and/or partner. Sport or trad is fine. I want to get as much climbing in as possible and spend less time in a car or on a really long approach. Obviously it will be July so weather is a factor. Suggestions of areas to check out?

Ozone is not far from Portland at all, and has pretty good single pitch sport climbing.

Check out Pete's Pile or French's Dome both on Mt. Hood. Ozone is fun as well as Broughton''s Bluff( just watch out for poison oak)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
