East Tennessee in August

I might be in East Tennessee for a week or so in mid-August, and I was wondering if there are any crags that are not entirely unpleasant for climbing at that time of year. I know it'll be quite hot so I'm not getting my hopes up, but I thought I'd see if there were any suggestions. Thanks a lot.

Where in east TN, exactly? If you are in the Tri-Cities area, Ship Rock is about an hour away. Lots of other stuff in NC is fine in August.

I will actually be on other side of Knoxville, in Roane County. The only place I've been to in the area is the Obed, which is about 45 minutes away.

Thanks for the info on NC. I might have to consider the longer drive if stuff in my hood is too warm.
