I'm going to visit Fort Collins late August and looking for advice. I will have two days of bouldering and thinking about Arthur's rock. I would love to find somebody to climb with who could show me around all the good lines so I don't waste time. Or maybe point me in direction of how to rent a crash pad?... I will be in Fort Collins from August 14th to the 19th.... Potentially climbing on the 15th and 18th?...

I'm not much of a boulderer but I can tell you this: If we have normal weather while you're here it will be far too hot at Horsetooth for decent bouldering.

There's bouldering high in the Poudre Canyon and, of course, Rocky Mountain National Park, that is good that time of year. Both about a 1hr drive from FTC. I think a lot of info is available online (hopefully others will jump in here).

Now, if you want to go climbing, let me know...

Thanks a lot. Would it even make sense to try out the Rocky´s without anyone guiding me, for just two days of bouldering?. I have no idea of accesability and so forth.

That sounds good. Is all the boulder relatively close? And why would the 420´s be better than RMNP? Thanks for the advice

if you bring over some totem cams from europe you could probably make a good sum of money since they appear to be unavailable for the US at the moment. i'd certainly purchase a couple

You can boulder around FC in August just go in the morning or evening. This year has been terrifically wet and cool so no telling what sort of a summer we are going to have...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
