Camping and Climbing in Sequoia

So I am road tripping from Fort Collins, Colorado out to Mammoth Lakes, CA to see family, and on the way I want to stop in Sequoia National Forest and National Park to do some camping and some climbing. I plan to be in the Sequoia area around June 4th-6th ish, as plans are bit flexible.

Was curious if anyone could point me in the right direction with a good place to camp(preferably free) and/or someone who wants a climbing partner.

I have a 60m rope, some draws, and a mostly full BD rack from #.3-4 with doubles of #1 and #2. Have some experience leading up to 5.9 on gear, 5.10 follow.

Would love to meet some people to climb and camp with, as it is just me and my well-behaved dog on the road trip! Please feel free to contact me on here or even shoot me a text at (203)231-6467if you can provide any help or want to meet up!

Cheers,
Ryan

Ryan,

Sequoia isn't really "on the way" to Mammoth from Colorado. Sequoia National Park is usually accessed from the west side of the Sierra and Mammoth is on the east side. You probably already knew this.

Right, I understand that. I just really wanted to spend some time in the area so I'm making it part of the trip.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
