I was seconding on an attempt of the 11c route Wunderkind at the Hohe Hinterlands and did not realize that the draws on the route were pre-hung, and not from my leader. I cleaned the first four draws before I came in sight of my belayer. Unfortunately I was finishing in the dark and I was being belayed from the rap ring station and not the normal belay station (this route is pretty hard to find and we didn't have good beta as to where the bolts started since it's up a pitch and across a traverse). It's also insanely overhung so we were not able to get the draws back on the route.
In any case the draws are a random assortment of biners and dogbones, but the dogbones are HEAVILY sunbleached, but obviously I would like to get them back to the owner if desired.
Message me here and I can mail them on my dime back to you. I'm not sure how comfortable I am leading on these and placing them back on the route.. they are very discolored and brittle on the sunfacing side. Sorry for the hassle.
The line was absolutely incredible. Being around my max grade it's probably my favorite line that I've gotten on in the 20 or so trips that I've been to Rumney. It's just such a hard time getting to it and figuring out where to belay from etc. Now that we've got it nailed down though I'm so stoked to get back on it.
Following is a bad time though, just lead it. The rope drag over the roof part is horrendous and the rope gets pretty twisted making unclipping terrible and the falls are super clean anyways. Just my 2 cents.
Warning though the route is dirty.. I grabbed a slug inside of one hold and an abandoned birds nest on another (it was dark). So be ready.
There are 2 draws left on the route though, and they are not in the best shape. So be careful and maybe throw up your own draws instead of using the ones left.
