I'll be driving from CO to northwest Arkansas, and will be in town from approximately the 6th to the 12th of May. I'd really love to hit some trad at horseshoe canyon and sam's throne, but I need a partner.

Also, on my drive to AR, I would be fairly close to Merlin, the 5.13 ow roof in Oklahoma. I've never been to it, but I've seen pictures and a video, and it looks killer. I would love to check it out, if anyone is interested in that kind of thing.

Cheers,

Matt

First off Matt you don't come to Oklahoma to climb Merlin. You come to climb the abundance of sustained hardman classics. Enjoy your trip!

I would love to climb the other hard man classics as well, just saying that Merlin is really high on my list of routes to check out. I just happen to have a thing for off width roofs

5.13 is definitely a bit stout, but I'd never know what it was like unless I gave it a shot. It's just a beautiful line, so I figure I should at least take a look while I'm in the neighboorhood. I grew up in Arkansas, and didn't even know climbing existed, so I'm intrigued that there is an off width test piece just a couple hours from home. Seems worth a visit to me.
