Ok so starting August 9th I will be in Cali for about a week or maybe longer if I decide to extend my trip. I got this idea to create my own personal "triple crown" but cant seem to decide on a third objective and could use some ideas.
So far my main goal while Im out there is Mt Whitney in one day. The second idea I had was to drive over to the valley and do half dome (preferably one of he 5.7ish routes if I can find a partner) or just the cables route if necessary.
The third choice wouldnt necessarily have to have technical climbing as finding a partner could maybe be an issue. I prefer cool peaks etc other than just long miles for the sake of hiking long miles.

This might be unpleasantly warm in August, though you might be used to that being from the E Coast.
+1 to Tbolt to Sill (although I prefer the other direction) - You could bivy in Dusy/Palisade Basin or at Galey Camp to make it more manageable in a day.
Some other fun, moderate routes at higher elevation:
N Ridge to W Ridge of Conness (+/- N Peak)
Matthes, Cathedral, Eichorn +/- a Tenaya start
One of the Temple Crag routes like Moon Goddess or Venusian (way more fun than Whitney IMO)
Beware, your objectives may require hard to get permits. The cables on Half Dome and Whitney can be a challenge in August, and they do check.
A third option could be Bear Creek Spire? 5.4, but mostly 3/4th class. Can be done in a day w/o permit, but you will need one if you spend a night. Not likely to be an issues, except of weekends???
