Looking for info (area name/grades) on the overhanging wall about 200 feet up the scree field just east of "The gully of higher education" up BCC.

This area is just up from the big pullout parking area on the north side of the road just east of "The gully of higher education" maybe 200 feet up the scree field to the left. It has a big dugout belaying area, a fire pit and a small cave and graffiti all around it. Looked like it had a really nice diagonal hand sized crack and a few juggy, steep sport routes. Maybe 60 feet tall. It looks like a great area... any info would be greatly appreciated.

The obvious hand crack is "Lycra Eater". Rated 5.10 in the Ruckman guide.

There's a few more bolted and bolt/gear mixed routes too. Fun spot.

Thank you for the reply and info! Do happen to know the name of this area?

Hmmm. Not really. Maybe Drew knows?

Its really kind of the east face of higher education. I've jokingly referred to it as lower education.

Grade spread seems to be from 5.6 to 5.12a or so. Rumor has. Ha ha.

I was also looking for this info. Found this spot the other day while looking for 'the gully of higher education' and couldn't find any listed info.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
