why the hell do people buy used cams on here for nearly retail? You can easily find them for 20% off w no tax and free shipping, which many many times is better than what the sell for on here. Use google and common sense, it's your friend. U-Stem camalots for $40-50? F#% Off I suppose I can't blame the sellers too much because there is a sucker born every minute. I've got some 12 year old Aliens for $60ea + shipping ( I'm not Amazon!), only 6,000 +/- pitches

I dont think many people actually buy the item for the listed price if the price is a rip off. I have sold a ton of stuff on M Project, sometimes items with no wear and nearly no use going for 60% off MSRP and I still get customers try to lowball me. I have never sold any item at near retail unless it was brand new.
C List is well known for lowballers. I will list an item at a fair price and explicitly say in the ad that the price is not negotiable or flexible, and still 50% of the people that reply ask for a lower price, even if I am offering 80% off MSRP.
I give discounts/free gifts and/or free shipping if anyone know where John Strand currently lives. I charge double if they can verify Shannons address.
I bought a slightly used C4 #2 cam on here for 50% off retail.
Usually when I put something used up for sale I set the price a little high expecting people to talk down the price. Would never put up anything for near retail though.
I agree with the OP, some of the offered prices are silly. Somebody was trying to sell WC Helium Friends for $45/unit. I just bought 6 from two different retail sources for $42/unit. This is not a unique example. I can't help but think that in some cases people with prodeals are buying at prodeal cost and selling slightly higher here.
