Heya!
I'm about done with my work season and I'll be headed Home towards West Glacier, MT from Big Stone City, SD. I'm throwing together a super loose plan of spots and partners to link up with to climb. I've been climbing off and on for 5-ish years and If theres anyone out there who is willing to take me under their wing and mentor that'd be awesome too. I'm confident in my belay skills and would like to get more proficient in climbing. My plans are open and I was thinking of going to the Black Hills for sure, I can also go to Devils Tower, I've done a few routes (I don't remember the names) and Durance last summer and I'm willing to try a different one. From there I can zig-zag in any direction to get more rock time. I have rope and a sport rack as well. LADIES LADIES LADIES I'd luv to link up and do some climbing with you. I'm always on the lookout for lady dirtbags to chill and climb with!
Message me and throw some ideas my way.
Cheers!
Marj

Let me know if you make it south around the Durango area.

I will go to The Needles/Rushmore area, I read its pretty good beginner-ish/Intermed's stuff I can lead. Then head over to Spearfish Canyon and get a taste of the routes there. Seems a lot more challenging but I might be able to follow if you're patient enough. I'll be In Spearfish Canyon area an extra few days to fish also. Then D. Tower..........and that's as far as I've planned it.

Steven - Dang!!! I was just in Durango 3 weeks ago, I dabbled on the fume wall mostly. Probably be back out that way in the Fall. I'll definately hit you up when I get back there!

Wofford - YEEEESSS----Whats your sched looking like?? I'll PM you when my layoff is near.

Hello MArj,
My fellow LADY dirtbag. I am headed out west too and my final destination is Seattle. I am planning on heading outwest from Milwaukee, WI via SD to Grant teton (meeting up with some friends for hiking) then heading up north to Glacier NP via MT. So, if you are interested, our routes could intersect at several places.
A bit about me: Been climbing for 10 years, am a good technical climber but not very strong (as in cant do a decent pull up), have lead 5.8 tard pitches and used to both sport and trad climbing. I am a reliable belayer and a fun partner. Plus, I make a camp-dinners you will remember!
Let me know if you are interested. The earliest I can get started is June 8.
I hope I do get to climb with you as I am always looking for ladies to climb with!!

So I will leave Milbank,SD last week of May and head towards Mt. Rushmore/Custer SP first. Does anyone have beta on camp spots or anything I should be aware of while I'm out in that area? I know its kind of a tourist trap with all the fams doing summer vay-cays out there but any info would help.

Loyd and Harini are you still down to meet and climb?

Wrinkled Rock area has free bivy sites and great access to Rushmore routes.
