Anyone been there lately? Is the gate on Reservation Rd still closed? Looking to get out there and climb at Upper Cliff this weekend, just hoping that the black flies haven't shown up yet.

I went on Sunday and didn't even try the gate, just assumed it was closed. I parked at the boat launch and also at Round Pond/Fire road. No to black flies but unfortunately there were mosquitoes already out (WTF? There was a foot of snow in some places...)

What's the mud condition of the road? I have a Camry so my access can be limited. (I understand it may be rainy since the last visits, just trying to get an idea in general)

As far as I know reservation road won't be open for a while - May usually? Horse farm parking or Blair are your best options.

isnt round pond road always open? approach is about 10-15 min walk to upper cliff from that lot. havent been yet this spring but it was open into january this winter.

the road is sand gravel and passable with normal people cars almost all year.

Round Pond is the Horse Farm parking lot and yes I park there all year.

Anyone know if the gates are open yet?? Would love to get out to there tomorrow.
