3/4 Climbing Pant Suggestions

If you're new to climbing, save your dough for a harness, bouldering pad or gas money to actual go climb something. Personally, I climb in carhartts, only thing that lasts more than a couple of trips to J-Tree...

I sometimes take my shirt off in the gym.

And used to wear lycra.

Another vote for the prana stretch zion pant (and just cuff them if you want 3/4 length).

If you think capris are for girly men, introduce your girlfriend to Rafael Nadal

3/4 pants suggestions? My suggestion if you are considering man-capris is to hit yourself in the face with a flatrock until the urge to wear something like that passes.

I know of a certain Vedauwoo hardman that wears 3/4 length tights.

Sorry, I know this is an old post. However, I'm a fan of 3/4 pants. I have short legs and most companies don't really cater to men with 28-29 inseam. Thus, short pants are great if you don't have long legs (apparently everyone has a 30 inch inseam).

I love the Outdoor Research Men's Ferrosi 3/4 pants. They're made with a tough 86% nylon, 14% spandex, stretch woven fabric that really allows a lot of movement without restriction. They have shockcord at the bottom so you can tighten them up when you need to. Good pockets. Super comfortable.

Not cheap, but priced better than some of the more expensive options I've seen posted.

All of the OR Ferrosi products are awesome.

Why hasn't anyone suggested paisley spandex tights with a lime green tank-top.

This rig moves well and looks good too.

Bring back the 80's!

I suggest a trip to the thrift shop to pick up whatever you can find. 170 bucks on designer climbing pants is silly. Wool dress pants work good for me. Especially a light pair. They are cheap, stretchy and don't smell bad when you wear them longer.

Get some scrubs pants or painters pants, cheap and fairly durable

Stop listening to what haters on the internet say and wear whatever the heck you want. But it's a lot cheaper and more multifunctional to just buy normal length pants and roll them up. I climb in oversized scrubs (cheap at salvation armani), but if you insist on spending $80 on pants (which I admit to having done), I like the Patagonia Venga pants. Super light, stretchy, and if your friends are like mine they will yell VENGA VENGA VENGA like jerks.

Two years is but blink of the eye to the men of Supertopo. They are gonna tell him to get some of what they're used to wearing:

Unless you buy girl's jeans. They'll probably be 3/4 length on you too. I've considered it...

I just wear woman's capris. I'm pretty curvy though.. Just steel 'em from your girlfriends, nice and cheep. Oh the breeze.. and no scraped knees!! I mean come on. Unless your cool. Then I would not recommend this.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
