Corpus Christi - People, Places, Whatever

This is for anyone who lives in Corpus Christi, TX or will be there for the Summer. I took a job there from May to August, and of course want to keep climbing while I'm out there. I am from Ohio, and while it isn't huge we have a decent climbing scene for gyms and being not too far from the Red River Gorge are able to get out a lot.

However it looks like there aren't really any gyms in the Corpus area. If there ends up not being one, I would still like to meet some Texan climbers and hopefully make some new friends. Corpus isn't too far from Reimer's Ranch or Enchanted Rock and I would love to make it out to those locations at some point.

You're out of luck in Corpus. You might want to get into kitesurfing or windsurfing as it's one of the best places in the world for it.
