Climber feed

What about some sort of feed mechanism for ticks your friends log, one that you see somewhere when you are logged into the site?

I am specifically thinking of a system that would allow people to "follow" their friends and see what everyone climbed over the weekend in an area on a personal page or on the home page.

There are a lot of Twitter/Facebook-like features to avoid (friend requests, follower lists to name a few), though, but some sort of passive news feed for seeing your friends' accomplishments would be cool for getting psyched.

Thoughts?

Not everyone updates their tick list on MP after they climb each day. So the system would be very dependent on that. Also, if I care what my friends are climbing, I'll ask them.

I would love this feature on Mountain Project. It would be cool to be able to follow people and see what they've been climbing.

You can if you use an RSS reader. Go to any MP user page, go to ticks, click on RSS feed and boom done! (Well then copy the URL into your RSS reader and then boom you are done).
I do that for a few friends I know that are traveling so I can keep up on where they are climbing and what awesome routes they are on. I also like the feed view of the routes as it gives a good overview and usually a good pic of the route if one is posted.

We are working on this, but it will be a while.

Very nice, had no idea this was a feature. I do like the pics and descriptions for sure.
