We are low grade climbers, just talked with Brad the climbing ranger yesterday, he said there are more sport routes at Castle Rock. They are only about 5 miles apart so you can check them both out.

I'd suggest Hostess Gulley in Castle Rocks. That will have an assortment of easy-to-hard sport and trad lines.

Most of the easy lines in City of Rocks are trad (but they are fantastic!). Easy sport lines in City tend to be run-out.

Also consider some top-rope options on Practice Rock in City if it isn't crowded.

Plenty of easy sport climbs at the city that are not run out. Check out theater of shadows on Jackson's thumb or sino cranium on steinfell's dome. Easy multipitch sport with super close bolts. Basically any easy route bolted by Kevin pogue will be safe
