Relative Boostic Sizing

Anyone have info on how Boostic sizing compares to other shoes,e.g., solutions, miuras, katanas, etc..? Boostic size 40.5, specifically. I've been reading mixed reviews, but I'd thought Boostics have a wider toebox than solutions, for example.

Thanks!

I have boostics in the same size as solutions and found them significantly smaller and tighter in the toe box. The shape is so different between the two that they aren't realistically a good comparison. My best suggestion if you can't try them on is to order a half size up from your solution size from somewhere with free return shipping. Good luck!

Boostics are sized super small in my experience. I wear 42.5 in almost all La Sportiva's (Cobra, MuiraVS are my most used shoes). I like the solutions a tad smaller and went with 42's. I have 44 Boostics and they are as tight as any of my Sportiva's.

I actually do not care for them too much. They are a stiff-ish good edging shoe like the MuiraVS...but the toe is a bit too round and bulbous, which causes them to not fit into little pockets as well as the MuiraVS. I really have not found a need for them. I can't figure out what they excel at. I thought they would be an improvement on the Muira's...but I don't think they are.

Scarpa sizing is super weird. In La Sportiva 42.5 is almost always the right size (even a 42.5 would have worked for the Solutions). In Scarpa...I love size 43 for the Instinct Slipper (which is a GREAT SHOE!)...but would not be able to get my foot into a 43 Boostic at all.

I think about a half size to a size bigger than La Sportiva. They are super stiff so they feel smaller than they are. They also don't really get less stiff as you climb in them and take a long time to break in. Mine are two years old, have been resoled, and they are still stiff and powerful.

As stated they are terrible in pockets. What they are really good at is steep rock, heel hooks, especially if there is a toe cam, and anything where power is more important than precision.

They are one of my favorite shoes ever but I understand they are not for everyone, and certainly not for every rock type.

Boostics fit perfectly as a performance shoe if you get your street shoe size, not sure how that translates to sportivas as I have a different size for every model...

Very interesting.. Sounds like I'll go for 0.5-1 size up.

Thanks for all the advice! Much appreciated.

I wear the same size boostics as vapor v's and forces, and my feroces are half a size down. I'm the same size in women's solutions

Mike, I think you hit the nail on the head.

A generous 1.5-2 sizes up from solutions seems to be about the same for me.

The toe box did feel a bit more comfy though, despite the tighter fit. Personally, I think I'll be going up 1.5 sizes (EU sizing). I could see going up 2 sizes depending on the size of your toes and how easily you want to get in/out of your shoes.

Hope this thread helps anyone else considering make a Boostic/Solution conversion.

Thanks for the input, all.

I'm a 42.5 in Miura VS, 44.5 in the Scarpa Rebel boot. I had to go with a 44 in the Boostic.
