Old gear needed (for decorating)

Our church is doing a "Mt Everest" themed Vacation Bible School this June and I'd read a suggestion that local rock climbing shops switch out their gear every 6 months or so (updating it, for safety) & they might be willing to donate. Sadly, my local shop is not able to do that. |

Interesting idea! Honestly, depending on the age group of the kids, it might be nicer to decorate with facsimiles, i.e. new pieces of bright colored non-climbing rope and shiny hardware store carabiners, than getting used gear which will be scrapped up and dirty. |
