Superglue for closing split skin is solid gold. The legit version of this is Dermabond, but I don't know if you can buy the stuff unless you're a doctor...can you?

Apparently they expect climbers to need it, judging from the banner on their website.

I stole my boyfriends JTree and his hands are pretty rough (so are mine). I'm trying to come up with immediate solution that will still make me seem like a cool climber girlfriend. :)
Any suggestions?

Oils - and more than you think. Start with fish - flax - Cod Liver - Olive oil etc. Pick one and take a shot or two a day until your skin clears up of cracks, dryness etc. Along with adequate hydration (this means water, not beer :)) - this will fix you up. Another good home remedy is one tablespoon of Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of warm water once a day - good for lots of "what ails you".

I use this for dry skin.

udderly smooth

I deal with dry skin as do my kids. It is the best if you can use it regularly. It can be found at most pharmacies.

You have got to try coconut oil as I had really dry skin as well for the last few years and now I have healthy hydrated skin thanks to coconut oil.
The specific product that I used is the Viva Labs Coconut Oil and it as I said before it has done wonders to my skin.
Even the makeup looks better now :)

Dry and flaky skin is a common complaint in the winter time. Cold, dry winter air sucks the life out of silky, smooth skin. Other factors that contribute to dry skin include aging, nutritional deficiencies, and a genetic predisposition.

  • Using the right soap and the right moisturizer can help greatly when it comes to dry skin management, irrespective of what season it is. Apart from these changes, add home remedies like using aloe vera and honey to your skin care routine. Also, it is very important to stay hydrated during the hot summer months. Your body loses a lot of water by sweating and this needs to be replenished. Have 1-2 liters of water every day to keep your skin fresh and hydrated from within.
  • Using hot water to rinse your face can definitely make your skin dry. Hot water removes the oils from the skin leaving it dry and dull. Instead of this, use tepid or cool water. Also, using harsh soaps that claim to cleanse your skin thoroughly can also strip away the natural oils from the skin. Use a gentle cleanser for your face to keep the required amounts of oil locked in but still get rid of the dirt and impurities.
