I am getting back in shape.

Ironically I am.

But it is still the best tired excuse for why you suck.

College spring break at Miguel's. So many bros, so much shit talking from gumbys, so much spread of misinformation.

huh? Unless you are talking about this..

I'd rather roll them up than have it be a nuisance, or wear capris.

Nobody mentioned that one either...Man-pris.

Or climbers with no shirts and beanies on.

Or no shirt and a beaning wearing an 800 fill jacket rubbing your elbows talking about sending your proj.

And "proj"

Flailin' wrote:'I haven't had a good send in a while.' 'That guy is about to send your project.' 'I'm going for the send.' 'She was trying all day before she sent.' Labeling the completion of a route as a "send" just sounds stupid. Also, chalk bags. Do you really need chalk for EVERY hold?
Right on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I here that phrase I cringe.

this thread seems to have fallen into a theme of "let's find stuff to complain about"

That's kind of a misnomer. You either send or don't send. There is no such thing as a "good" or "bad" send.

There are bad routes out there. If you send a bad route, you by definition could call it a "bad send."

My partner and I do really love to use "it's all there" whenever we get a chance.

This is best used when one of us hangdogs/aids up some hard route in extremely poor style. It can be delivered by the climber or the belayer, but the belayer has to make sure he/she doesn't come off as an asshole.

The expression sometimes requires further clarification--"it's all there, you just need to chisel away some of the extra to expose it."

It also combines well with other cliches. For example, regarding Atomic Gecko, "it's all there on you, right from the start."

The most fun is using it in nonstandard scenarios. For example, to console someone who has spilled his or her beer. After all, the beer IS still all there. It's just in a harder-to-drink format.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
