"...Two openings (that's double that of a standard carabiner) make it the most versatile carabiner on the market. No more worrying about which direction your carabiner is facing - you can open it from either side!...

Do not open both sides of the carabiner at the same time!"

You can't make this stuff up... edit: I guess you can!

Pssst...this is an April Fools joke.

The mind boggles at the brilliance of a biner that can clip from either side. But what about if the biner were accidentally inverted? Doesn't it really need four gates, not just two?

I can't wait for the patent to expire. Maybe then the price will drop to around $350.

I also want a version that has an internal gate to capture the belay loop of my harness. Actually, it would need two internal gates, so it would capture the belay loop of my harness from either side. Or is that four internal gates, in case I clipped it to my harness both backwards and upside-down?

And there should definitely be colors, not just boring silver.

I wonder if the current patent precludes Grivel from introducing a version that would replace the clumsy screw gates with sleek pairs of twin gates. A quadra-twin biner would be the ultimate, especially if it had a complete set (4) of belay loop capture gates inside.

I think it just needs to be set up with opposing gates. it will allow the gates to open further too in case you do need to open them both (when it's not weighted of course).

"TreeStuff.com's products are designed by arborists for arborists."

Reminds me of this guy.
