I was just up at the main wall today and someone took a shit right in the middle of the trail, pretty much left a huge steamer right in front of Leonids and put one small rock on top of it toilet paper and all. What kind of etiquette is this people, I couldn't believe someone would be this disrespectful to the crag and fellow climbers... pack it in and pack it out
Hand.jammin......that is disgusting!! However, while what you describe is disgusting, it isn't trail destruction, more like simple ignorance or lack of outdoor etiquette. We discovered the same situation at our local crag last week. Someone left a big steaming pile, complete with TP and a small rock at the base of a route. Totally disgusting and disrespectful behavior. Sounds like providing "Wag Bags" or communicating with crag users the appropriate etiquette for dealing with human waste is necessary. It's all about EDUCATION.

Unfortunately in this case I think that is wishful thinking. How could you possibly educate cretins of that magnitude? You'd be better off tossing them into a lime pit.
Benjamin the "path destruction" term was partially a joke to show my anger but thank you for relating with me and guy it is really funny you say that because we passed a group of three French climbers on our way up that day they were coming down and I know it was them because they were the only other people at the wall that day, is their a correlation there? The French like to shit where they climb or somethin?
Was up there on Sunday, and it's still there, not like it is going to wash away in San Diego, you can never catch people like this in the act, would love to rub their nose in it
exactly, I was going to attempt to remove it from the trail but the sheer thought was too tramautizing to even consider it. Given were in a drought its going to remain there for awhile, it saddens me that members of our climbing community could be so ignorant and inconsiderate.
