Well, these look f'ing awesome. Too bad I'll need a second mortgage to afford them.

Honestly, seeing prices like that makes me not want to own anything made by Arcterex. There is just no way a pair of approach shoes could be worth the price of 5 new cams.

Unless that shoe makes the approach shorter, I'm not paying $200+ on a god damn shoe.

I'm going to buy them assuming they fit ok. If I'm going to be a bad climber, I'm going to look bada$$ doing it!

Shiny gear, elite names and excessive prices in order to hike a quarter mile and crush that 5.8+ sport climb will make for epic photo shopped pictures in which to impress my non climbing friends and family.

A small price to pay I say.

La Sportiva broke the $200 mark for approach shoes several years ago, this is nothing new.

Still not gonna buy em.

I can wear a gore tex or neoprene sock with any sneaker.
Nothing really "technical" about them.
These will be on closeout for half price next season and I still won't buy them.

How about this $550 coat from their ugly-ass "dress" line?

that jacket is better than these shorts $299.00

I'd buy those shorts. They're made of a cotton/nylon blend and have strategically placed pockets! They've even got taped seams! How could you knock them?

Id go in for the shorts if money was no object, but of course it is when your just a student. but that dress jacket bs fuck that.

as far as shoes go Im gonna say youd be hard pressed to out do a good old pair of vans skate-hi's or old skool's with some doc shols inserts

"outdoor clothing and sporting goods company"

That jacket and those shorts must be for "outdoor" dinner parties

in hongcouvah (we AZNs call it WON-GOH-WAH) ... dead bird is an extreme outdoor company for wokking dat dawg ....

sure their gear gets used by some very good folks in the mountains ... but 90%+ of the time its folks sipping lattes at the sbucks

its not till youve seem the tour bus let out boatloads of korean tourist to the AHH-TEH-LICKS factory store as a standard itinerary stop that youve see the light

as to shoes ... ill wait for em to get to 50%+ off like most of the dead bird gear i buy if i REALLY want a pair

But the Ganda is resole-able and promises to last for many years. Is this Dead Bird shoe resole-able? (I didn't read every word of the puffy description, but I didn't see that it is)

I'll file this product away with their $70 rope bag.
