Hey,

I am a teacher and will be on spring break the month of April 6-12. I have some climbing friends who are driving down that Friday 4/10 and staying through the weekend, but I would like to come down earlier and get some more climbing in if possible. Is there anyone who is planning on being in the Gorge during that week and is interested in possibly climbing Friday?

Hello there! I'm interested on climbing there. When do you wanna go or when are you planning to get at RRG?

Cool! I could maybe drive up Thursday (4/8) and climb Friday, Sat, and Sunday morning if possible. I have a rope, 14 draws, and cleaning gear and can lead or clean.

Awesome, I will meet you there, I'm going to camp at Migues pizza! My cell phone number 715-821-2823!
I also have a rope and 18 draws!
I probably get there Thursday night, I'm driving from Wisconsin!!

I just spent four days climbing without any gear or a partner (my own rope and harness) every day I climbed and never had trouble finding someone to climb with... Just goto muir valley and wait for an odd number to walk by typically if you get there after 8 you'll get main parking and have a group to join before nine. Disclaimer, I'm cool as shit and willing to climb anything but both days I joined a Gumby group there were climbers doing 11s nearby and had no problem sharing a route.
Miguels is also a guarantee.. You can even steal other people's partners! Bring a twelve pack of good beer to the picnic tables and announce the grades you climb and your "extra" beers

Anyone in the southeast that climbs trad, I'm homeless and dying to get bold. I'm confident and educated alpinist with intimate knowledge of safety and skills willing to climb anything that looks good, even more apt to climb if it looks like shit and you're dying to try it!

Hmm...good to know! I've always thought about doing that. Are you going to still be in the area?

I also posted looking for climbing partners Saturday and Sunday morning if anyone's game. Lining something up before hand would be preferred, just don't want to drive all that way with the potential of not finding someone to climb with.

Sweet! I got a potential prospect for Saturday but I'll be staying at Miguel's and I'll PM you my cell in case that falls through.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
