Shot out of a gun: best offset size to start with for Yosemite. I'm liking master cams. What's the most common size needed.

The Aliens/ Basics, but they dont exist in all the sizes you need. I dont think they make them in the black/ blue for whatever reason. The X4s are really nice too, but pricy. I use the Master Cams myself since they are cheaper. For aid climbing, a double rack from 00/0 to 2/3 is good. I havent ever found the need to go with sizes larger than a 2/3 in offest.

I don't know Yosemite (I climb New England granite, gneiss, Gunks conglomerate). And I can't compare brands. But I love my Mastercam offsets in the smallest three or four sizes. 00/0, 0/1 and 1/2 are fall-in-love-with pieces. 2/3 is often useful. 3/4 less so. And I don't own a 4/5, and don't feel particularly inclined to acquire one.

I have Master Cam off sets, Alien off sets and hands down the best I have used are Totem Cams. Save your money and get Totems. Nothing else comes close.

I used Totem offsets during a trip to Red Rock and they are awesome!

Sizes? Blue/purple and Blue/yellow MCs are the two I place most in Yosemite pin scars.

I have offset aliens and MCs, and I like them both equally.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
