This was posted to the CLC Facebook page. Seems the poster has no idea what the gear is that he has. Gonna be at a yard sale tomorrow.

Hey Adam, do you have a link? Unfortunately I can't see the screenshots. Thanks.

What? You don't count your climbing gear by the bucketful?

I can vouch for any of that gear. It belonged to me.

If anybody in the community wants to help me buy it back, I'd love to give you 20 good quickdraws and a couple harnesses.

Wow, that sucks. I assume you aren't in Vegas to make the buy?

(Wondering if you've filed a police report with the locals, if those pics might be enough for them to ask LVPD to step in and pick up the gear. You recognize the buckets?)

Definitely call the police if you haven't already. There is a good chance you can get the gear recovered.

Hi, I'm sorry for equivocating last night. This is gear that was abandoned at a storage unit I had in Vegas. Through an unfortunate series of events I was unable to get it back. The guy may have legally bought it at auction. I specified this is gear i 'owned', but i realize now how that is easily misconstrued when I the original post was about the possibility of a sketchy sale. I am the guy who had a lot of gear taken at Indian Creek. The two events are related but indirectly. It would have been more appropriate for me to simply encourage folks in Vegas to just offer this guy a couple hundred bucks and perhaps get a crazy deal on a half dozen pairs of Miuras, three Arc'terx harnesses, loads of slings/biners, 20-30 draws and seriously a whole bunch of other stuff. I paid many thousands of dollars to get this gear. Also, you can know it was mine as it is marked with purple tape or nail polish.

Needless to say it has been a really sad and unfortunate month for me and my gear. The guy may well have legally bought the gear at auction for pennies on the dollar. I think I was dismayed more than anything yesterday evening in asking for help. Somebody might just be able to buy it for dirt cheap as he clearly doesn't really know what it all is. So,yes, I encourage anybody in Vegas to go offer the guy pennies on the dollar and get the gear as I cannot. Thank you all.

possible sketchy gear sale? you didn't pay your storage locker rental and they auctioned it off. that isn't equivocating... just deceitful.
