Mammut adds a plastic insert between the rope locator and leg loop, at the tie-in point, to protect against abrasion. Does anyone know where I could buy one of those inserts?

yes, those inserts are super-smart-- unfortunately mammut has a patent on the technology....

what I do to my harness to protect the bottom tie-in point: just wrap in high-quality duct tape. Usually have to change the ducttape every month or so.

^ This works great, although I replace the duct tape only once or twice over the life of the harness.

I have been trying to find a gym that has Mammut harnesses in need of retirement, but no luck so far. Anyone need to retire their harness?

I have a Togir Light harness I'm going to sell, the harness is still serviceable though. If you're interested let me know.

Rockin and Jammn has two gyms in Denver that have been open for years, 20 kN, and they use Mammut harnesses. Worth a try.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
