I made a plan with a friend to hit up Finale Ligure this weekend. He had to bail for work, but I still have a flight to catch now! I'm landing in Rome Friday evening, flying back out Sunday night. Haven't decided whether I'll take the trains or rent a car.

Wouldn't flying to Milan be a heck of a lot closer?

I bet if you go to the little climbing store (Salewa Mountain Shop) in Finale you could find someone fairly easily, especially on a weekend.

I'll be going (to Finale) in ~10 days. I'm curious as to what current conditions there are like.

Flying to Milan is much closer Paul!! I'm in Val Masino now, place is insane....literally is a little Yosemite, expect nobody's around haha. If you get the chance get up here, think I may come back when I'm here in June.

Yea, I looked into that. The prices and flight times in and out of Rome outweighed the results I found in Milan, and Rome is 2 hours away from Naples, where a friend of mine was coming from to meet me in Rome to accompany me to Finale Ligure. Then, his coworker hurt himself while snowboarding, so they pulled my friend to fill in for him.

I'm talking with the airline to see if they can't adjust my plan to fly me into Milan, instead.

So!-----------------I'm landing in Milan at 3:50pm on Friday

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
