I'll be staying in Boston this week for a conference - at the Sheraton in the Back Bay area. Curious as to the best options for a good bouldering session, preferably within walking distance.
Rock spot is the only place within walking distance. Brooklyn boulders on the other side of the river is also a place worth checking out. There is more bouldering at Rock spot anyhow.
If you're here all week, I'd probably go to several different ones. Nobody is going to have reset during the few days you're in town, so you'll get to try a wider variety of climbs that way.
In addition to what's already been mentioned (I'm a Central Rock Gym member myself--big fan), Metro Rock in Everett is easily accessible via the T. From the Back Bay take the Orange line to Wellington, then either walk (it's about a mile) or call Metro's front desk, as they have shuttle pickup at the station.
Depending on where you are in Back Bay nothing will be an easy walk, but as far as I'm aware buses cover all the gyms in the area. Check google maps for schedules.
